Buster Keaton Silent Films 

Take a trip back in time to watch films as they would have been first presented in the early 1900’s! We will be screening the silent films of Buster Keaton accompanied by live piano music played by Larrance Fingerhut. The films we are showing will be:

The Goat (1921)
The Blacksmith (1922)
The Love Nest (1923)

Larrance Fingerhut has been improvising on the piano since he was two years old. After spending 13 years performing and composing in the Bar Harbor area he went to Chicago where he was music director for iO, Baby Wants Candy, and Second City Touring Company, and a teacher and music director at Columbia College. He came back to Bar Harbor where he and Jen Shepard founded and operated ImprovAcadia for 17 years. He often can be seen at Penobscot Theatre Company as music director. His original musical about a fictional lobstering Community, Trapped, A Lobster Tale was premiered at Penobscot Theatre Company in 2023.
