Dan Brown: The Nerdy Dad Show

Location: Stonington Opera House
Tickets: $15

Dan Brown talks about being a father, being married, his nerdy personality as he grew up reading comic books and watching wrestling, and his general observations of life. He’s joined by opening act, Jesse Pimpinella.

Being Straight-Edge had the reputation of being aggressive in the 1980’s. But when performed by Dan Brown, it’s clean comedy that still has an edge and is aggressively funny. Dan combines his real life observations and experiences into a performance that is honest and insightful that audiences can related to and laugh at. Dan talks about life from a wannabe superhero’s point of view on having to grow up, family and relationships while maintaining honest and true. Dan is a favorite at comedy clubs and colleges all over the country. His Dry Bar Comedy Special “Not Shopping Here Today” was released in October 2021.

The Hot Mess himself, Jesse Pimpinella, has been touring the country and taking audiences on a storytelling journey of awkwardness & indecision. His bubble personality and love for pop culture has lead him to appear on Amazon Prime, IHeart Radio, CBS, ABC, NPR, and Buzzfeed! His debut comedy special, HOT MESS, was #1 on Amazon and is currently streaming on Roku TV. From 2011-2015, Jesse hosted the Brew Crew on Rookery Radio and was sponsored by THE CW. Jesse is a member of Good Medicine Specialists, in which he performs at Children’s hospitals and Elderly facilities. The goal is to empower patients in environments where they often feel powerless and to use comedy, improv, and parody to reduce anxiety, sadness and isolation in the medical environment.
