TITLE: Opera House Arts Continues Live! for $5 Series — Now at 6pm!
Stonington, ME – Opera House Arts (OHA) continues its popular Live! for $5 series–now at the family-friendly time at 6pm on Tuesdays. The series offers affordable, intergenerational entertainment throughout the summer with a lineup that is bigger, bolder, and more diverse than ever, continuing OHA’s mission to make world-class entertainment accessible to everyone.
Deer Isle favorite, Hymn for Her, returns for some juiced-up backwoods country blues with a dose of desert rock psychedelia on July 15.
Prepare for some swashbuckling fun with Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers in Everybody Loves Pirates on July 22.
The laughs don’t end there because Janoah the Juggler is ready to entertain with a virtuosic one-person circus on August 5 and Casey Carle will amaze you with his bubbles in BubbleMania! on August 19.
The series will end with a bang on September 9 with the indie pop-rock band, Bee Parks and the Hornets.
Tickets for all Live! for $5 events are on sale and can be purchased online at operahousearts.org or by calling the box office at 207-367-2788. Tickets are priced at just $5 per person, making it an affordable outing for all. For live performances, Hancock County students K-12 attend free!
Live! for $5 programs are sponsored by the W.F. Whitman Family Foundation in memory of Maia Aprahamian and the Anahata Foundation.
The Stonington Opera House is a historic center of culture and entertainment, a performance space, and a civic gathering place. Our work is rooted in the belief that access to and participation in the arts transforms lives.
The Stonington Opera House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991 and in 1999, it was rescued by the founders of Opera House Arts, a 501 (c) 3, that was established specifically to restore this historic building to its original purpose.
A cornerstone of a year-round, vibrant Main Street located at the top of the busiest commercial fishing pier in Maine, the Stonington Opera House is an economic engine for the creative economy of Deer Isle.
